About Us

Our Community Broadband was formed with the vision of providing super-fast broadband to communities on the Sunshine Coast who are suffering from unsatisfactory broadband provision.

Super-fast broadband is being seen by many of us as a necessary utility. We aim to inspire, support and empower these communities to establish community broadband networks, delivering improved connectivity which will transform the way their members live, work and learn.

Having already built our core infrastructure we can then add and link a new Community Distribution Point in a matter of weeks – and offer super-fast broadband at competitive prices.

We enable these communities so that home businesses, students and all other community members can benefit from the advantages of the internet – where they choose to live and work.

Meet The Team

Our Community Broadband is privately owned by Andy Whitmore and Steve Dunton. Their complimentary skills and years of experience in the telecommunications industry have enabled the formation of this company who have built their own fixed wireless company on the Sunshine Coast where there are many communities in need of a fast broadband solution.

Andy Whitmore

Director

Andy has worked in the telecommunications industry for over 20 years, with experience in network design, project deployment, logistics, manufacturing and installation of infrastructure in both fixed and wireless networks.

Steve Dunton

Director

Steve Dunton has over 20 years experience in building communications networks and IT infrastructure. These experiences vary from building small point to point networks to building and managing global, multi nodal networks.

Steff Llewellyn

Marketing Manager

Steff is responsible for the day to day Service Operations of Our Community Broadband. After many years in the UK as a field service engineer, Steff is ideally suited to the role with a Can Do attitude.

Janelle Drinkwater

Telecoms Technician

Janelle has many years’ experience in customer service industries, both as a small business operator and working for large corporations. She is here to streamline your OCB experience and is available from 8:30 to 4:30 to look after your non-technical requirements.
