OCB are pleased to announce the launch of a significant new wireless distribution point in the Flaxton area. We have been providing services to Hinterland clients for over a year and this new installation will provide high speed internet to a much larger portion of the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Businesses and residential properties can access superfast broadband when they have line of sight to our elevated distribution points now in Flaxton in addition to Bald Knob. Key beneficiaries include; Palmwoods, Mooloolah, Yandina, Woombye, Eudlo and Nambour.
Many areas of the hinterland struggle to get fast, reliable internet and there is no sign of an NBN solution in the short or medium term. OCB’s residential plans at average speeds of 25/5 Mbps (download/upload) are outstanding when compared to ADSL and NBN fixed wireless services. The latter was recently in the press having released a fact sheet that outlined typical minimum speeds on NBN12 of 2-5 Mbps download in the evening.
We would like to thank the Flaxton business owner who is hosting the service on their building, so that the surrounding community can also benefit with access to super-fast broadband. Businesses in the area can subscribe to speeds up to 50/20 Mbps and even greater services can be enabled upon request.
